This was another normal week! I've been focusing more on my one on one time with Angel, which is an hour that I have with her every day. Four of us have daily time with her, and we divide up what areas we focus on with her. My role is with music and art, which I've been having fun with. Angel loves making up songs and expressing herself creatively, and she has an amazing imagination! She is very similar to me in that she loves being good at everything she does, so I take my art time with her to show her that you don't have to do everything perfectly in order for it to be good.
The rest of the week was normal as well! Juliet and Cecelia, the girls who work at the sewing tent, usually ask me to do the sewing of the borders of the pads we make. That usually gets me in a relaxed flow for a couple of hours. I've also been trying to focus on being more present around here. Whenever I'm around people and especially the girls, that's helped a lot in making each day and connection more memorable, because the days were starting to blend together again. Here's a few cute photos of the girls:

Also, the SM girls ran into a problem because we're going on a trip to the Coast next week, and we said we were going to buy a bit extra on market day to last us until we leave. But somewhere I guess we all just did the opposite of shopping on an empty stomach because we are OUT of the food we got and it's just Sunday. We've been laughing about it because we still have some nonperishable food and we're being forced to be creative, and we really did get spoiled with our own cooking. All of this week and next week will be creative and spontaneous as we figure out plans for the trip too I fear. It will make for a good update next week for sure.
Last thing! Yesterday on Sabbath afternoon we were on the mats outside with the all little girls and SMs painting our nails, and suddenly we see people FLOODING in, I'm talking like 80 people walking into the trust outside area. We were so very stunned and confused, but turns out this was a group from the Nashulai College that were coming to visit Olmalaika. This was their second visit but it caught us off guard. They all greeted us, sang songs for us, had some spoken word, devotional and motivational thoughts, all for about half an hour. After this was done, they went inside to see the babies and we went inside to facilitate a bit. The poor babies were also caught off guard by the masses flooding in, being passed around to be held and photographed left and right. Luckily the moms and aunties were there to diffuse it and the babies would calm down once we held them again.

The group was there for about another hour, and once the rush inside calmed down we went outside and to all of our suprise, the entire group was sitting on the grass and Nosim was speaking and giving a little speech! Nosim is super shy up front and yet she went up to Maureen and asked if she could say something to the crowd. She spoke for a good five minutes!!! We were all so proud of her. After that as people were wrapping up, then all the students wanted pictures with us. It was overwhelming and we felt a bit like celebrities but it was fun, I took a few pictures with them on my own so you would all get to see them!

Have a great week :)
